Beschreibung:

PART I: Building a Solid Foundation in Acting In our beginner's program, we lay the groundwork for your journey as an actor. Drawing on the esteemed methods of Stanislavski and adapted techniques from influential figures such as Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, and Lee Strasberg, this course provides a structured approach to understanding the key elements of acting. Through a combination of improvisations, engaging exercises, and scene work, you will enhance your imagination and ability to transform, ensuring you can perform convincingly both on stage and on screen. Key Components: Hands-on improvisation and exercises inspired by leading British Drama Schools such as LAMDA, RADA, Guildhall, and Drama Centre. Extensive scene work to hone your skills. Who Should Enrol: Beginners (minimum age 16) and newcomers to acting. Young talents eager to refresh their understanding of basic acting principles or never got one Directors and writers seeking insight into performance techniques. Aspiring actors preparing for drama school auditions. PART II: Enhancing Your Performance Skills In this part of the program, we will explore methods to deepen your performances and prepare you emotionally for upcoming projects. Participants will engage with scenes, mini-monologues, self-taping/audition pieces, and focus on layered character development. The course encourages creativity, clarity, boldness, and confidence in your acting. Building from a place of truth, we guide participants to connect meaningfully with the character and text. Through improvisation, character relationship exercises, and object work, you’ll discover insights that draw on your own life experiences and imagination. As Nemerovich-Danchenko articulated, “In every character there is something unspoken, a hidden drama... that has not found expression in words.” This exploration of the character’s life will enable you to make informed choices and define your scenic goals. The process will require curiosity and a non-judgmental approach to embrace your own vulnerabilities, fears, and strengths, which will ultimately enrich your character portrayal. "Emotions are a by-product of, or response to, something you want from the other characters in the play. Very often a student falls into the trap of working to express anger or frustration, rather than focusing on why, as the character, he has come, into a specific situation, what problem he has to solve there, and what means his character will use to get what he wants and stick to his choices. If those elements bring up an emotion in him, I tell the actor to allow its expression, not to judge it or inhibit it, and to stay with his action.::" - Reuven Adiv (Former Drama Centre, London) PART III: Unlocking Your Creative Potential The ultimate goal of our acting class is to cultivate the actor's inner state of being and unlock the subconscious, encouraging spontaneity in performance. By engaging in improvised exercises aimed at liberating both your physical and emotional self, you will achieve a profound connection with the characters you portray. Utilizing Uta Hagen's exercises, the program fosters self-awareness about your own behaviours while inspiring curiosity about the behaviours of others. As you understand yourself better, you will learn to identify what differentiates your character from who you are and how to view the world through their eyes. We encourage playful exploration and imagination: How can you infuse your experiences into unfamiliar characters? What preparation resonates with you and how can you repeatedly invoke these triggers? The exercises, paired with analyzing scripts and plays, provide invaluable tools for character development in film, theater, and auditions. Embark on this exciting journey with us and discover the transformative power of acting, regardless of your experience level!
