The Actor-Director Collaboration
- A Scene Work Laboratory in German/English -
A practical laboratory for actors interested in deepening their understanding of the actor–director relationship in theatre and film (in German or English, as needed).
Through close work on selected scenes, participants will explore how directors analyse text, develop interpretations, and guide the rehearsal process. The focus is on making choices, responding to direction, translating notes into playable actions, and discovering how different approaches transform a scene.
The laboratory is led by Adam Csaszi, a film and theatre director with 15+ years of experience. His work has been presented at Berlinale, Deutsches Theater Berlin and Burgtheater Vienna, screened at 60+ film festivals, and distributed on platforms including HBO, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
